Life at the village

A resort around you. A home of your own.

  • Housekeeping by the village's own team, with fresh linens and towels. You never see a checklist.
  • A pool in the gardens, 8 am to 7 pm, and loungers under thatched umbrellas on the sand, inside the swim line.
  • The front desk, 8:30 am to 8 pm, books a massage on the beach, a private chef, babysitting, excursions, a boat for the day and airport transfers.
  • 24-hour security at the gate, visitors signed in. Two doctors on call should you need one.

What comes with the keys

Air conditioning and ceiling fans, Wi-Fi, a full kitchen with a proper fridge and stove, a TV, US-style outlets, and a covered terrace or patio to eat outside on. Fresh linens and towels, and the village team's housekeeping.

The village has its own mini-mart for drinking water and the basics.

Check-in from 3:00 pm, check-out by 11:00 am. Your keys are at the village front desk, open 8:30 am to 8 pm.

Getting here

Nonstop: about 4 hours from New York, 3 from Miami, 5 from Toronto and 8 from London, on American, JetBlue, Delta, United, Air Canada, British Airways and Virgin Atlantic. From V.C. Bird International it's a twenty-minute taxi at a fixed rate.

US, UK, EU and Canadian passports need no visa. English is the language, US dollars are taken everywhere, and they drive on the left.

When to come

December to April is the dry season: sunny, breezy, low 80s by day. May to November is quieter and warmer, with short afternoon showers; the official hurricane season runs June to November. The sea is 79–84°F all year.

Christmas, New Year and February book out first. Sailing Week fills English Harbour in late April, Carnival takes over St. John's at the end of July, and Shirley Heights throws its sunset party every Sunday.

Getting around

You don't need a car for the beach, the restaurants on the bay or a taxi into town. For the rest of the island, rent one: the rental companies deliver to the village and the temporary local permit is issued on the spot. Taxis run at fixed rates. Ask us and we'll point you to the companies and drivers our guests use.

The simple terms

3-night minimum. Rates are for two guests; the villa sleeps four, with extra guests at $45 a night. One cleaning fee per stay; weekly rates from 7 nights and monthly rates from 28, applied automatically.

Antigua's Tourism Guest Levy is paid separately, directly to Antigua Village: US$5 per guest per night, or US$3 when the nightly rate is under US$150. Children five and under don't pay it.

Stays more than 30 days out can be held with a 50% deposit, the balance due 30 days before check-in. Free cancellation until 30 days before.
